Bio

George After James is the project of James Fistonich, a guitarist and singer based in Auckland. His intricate guitar playing, soaring vocal melodies and innovative writing combine to form detailed sonic layers that support his contemplative and honest lyrical wanderings. 

Born in Hamilton, James Fistonich grew up in central China, before returning to New Zealand in 2016 to earn a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Auckland. His upbringing has had a profound impact on the way he views the world.

His debut single  'In Your Hands (You Won’t Let Go)' was released in November 2019. The song was extensively deliberated over to arrive at its smooth and compelling sound. It builds to an expansive sonic soundscape, featuring rich vocals and soaring falsetto, with melodious riffs along the way. His self-titled EP is due for release in January 2020.
